The tricky part for me here, was to get to the slide fast enough (after the hammer- and puoll off pattern). If you don't get to it in time, the whole riff gets "out of phase".

Now have a closer look at the tricky passage:

In the ending part of the riff Clapton elaborates with the bass movement - to create a bass line along with the powerchords.
